About The Teacher
Mona Speaks was born and raised in San Francisco. She attended San Francisco State University and received a B.A. in Liberal Arts and continued for another year to complete her teaching credential coursework. She worked as an elementary school teacher in San Francisco and moved to Sacramento 10 years ago. Mona continued working in elementary education for 3 years as an assistant while her children were young and then worked in an office position with the state. She began working for Highlands in 2016 and moved over to CICA when it began in 2019. Some of her interests are hiking, baking, crocheting, jewelry making and dancing. Mona also loves spending time with her 4 kids, family, and friends. She enjoys working with adults and watching them achieve their goals.
