About the Teacher
Lisa Ward is a Sacramento native. She earned her Bachelor's in art history at UC Davis and a Master's in counseling at Sacramento State University. She began her teaching career as an adjunct instructor at MTI College while obtaining her second Master's degree in U.S. History. She recently transferred to California Innovative Career Academy (CICA) as an independent study teacher after working as a Highlands high school teacher for two years. While working at Highlands, she completed the requirements for her Adult Basic Education teaching credential. Lisa enjoys spending time with her husband and three children. Her interests include jogging, hiking, and going on walks with her family. Her love of the arts makes her a frequent visitor to local museums, art galleries, and theaters.
