About our Spanish Instructional Paraeducator

My name is Ingrid Rehwald, proud to be Colombian and a Highland Alumni. In 2021, I earned my High School Diploma through our Independent study program (CICA). This year, 2023, marks the beginning of my journey in the field of education as I've been hired as a Bilingual Instructional Paraeducator at Highlands, which I'm finding it incredibly fulfilling. My role allows me to inspire students by sharing my own journey as a Highland Alumni, reinforcing the belief that anything is possible, and it's never too late to pursue an education. In my capacity as a Bilingual Paraeducator, I have the privilege of meeting our students and guiding them through the enrollment process. I also assist them with homework, translation, and any  school application-related concerns. I am dedicated to giving my absolute best to our students because I wholeheartedly believe in the words of Herbert Spencer: "The great aim of education is not knowledge but action.
